Green Hair

I went to the salon today very excited as I am supposed to go on a wedding anniversary cruise in 1 week. My life is forever ruined now though! I had the worst experience and I will never forget it.
I recently got a perm at the same salon and all was well. My hair was dry but I purchased all the products they suggested and they gave me instructions on how to help condition my hair. All was well until I went back in for a repeat color, my hair was very white at the time but I like my perms style and length. All I wanted was to add a bit of color, maybe a little hue of blonde!
The stylist helped me pick out a light blonde color and put the mixture on my head, set the timer for 30 min and walked away. Thank God she happened to glace at my hair. After 3 minutes it was turning GREEN and not just a little!
The manager ordered the stylist to remove the color immediately, they cut my hair completely short. I was devastated, it had green everywhere but it wasn't my fault. The manager said the stylist should not have not put the color on my ends as they were dry but actually the color was dumped on all my head. It was a mess.
I now have extremely short hair and then the salon said it was MY fault; that I must have been coloring at home which was an outright lie. They were the only ones doing my hair and I was only using there shampoo and conditioner they suggested. I didn't feel like I should have to pay for my service. The salon forced the issue and told me it was my own rotten hair and what would I rather have? Green hair or short hair? I am pursuing a lawyer or small claims against the salon.
I trusted them. They are the professionals! I should never have been treated
that way, especially when the manager out right blamed the stylist in the beginning. I don't know for sure what they did wrong, but they had colored my hair 2 times prior with no green effect. Now I feel I can't go on the cruise I cannot go out of the house, I look like a boy. I never wanted my hair cut at all.
My stylist had set the timer for 30 and had not intended to check my hair again. They cut out all the green but I was not given any other options to get rid of it. The manager was standing over me yelling, YOU KNOW THERE IS NOTHING TO GET OUT THE GREEN, WE HAVE TO CUT YOUR HAIR! She treated me so disrespectfully and yelled at me when I was crying. I told her I should not have to pay and she said, 'stupid people' to me!
They had done my had color 3 times prior to this time. I refused to stoop to her level and yell back at her. I am so sad, I don't want to go on the cruise at all as I am ugly. I hate mean people and stylist that just don't care what they do to there customers. I will never forget this ever, I am calling lawyer Plus they cut out all my PERM THAT I LOVED, THAT I PAID 60 FOR FROM THEM, IT IS GONE, JUST UGLY HAIR LEFT NO STYLE, BUT YES THEY ACCOMPLISHED THERE GOAL, THEY GOT RID OF THE GREEN, OH YEAH, THEY PUT IT THERE, SO 60 I PAID FOR GREEN HAIR AND NOW ALL SHORT ALL LAYERED TO MY HEAD, AND 60 FOR THE LOST PERM I AM OUT 120 AND NO BETTER OF THAN IF I HAD DONE IT ON MY OWN, AND BY THE WAY IT WAS COSTCUTTERS in TAUNTON Massachusets, CRYSTAL was the STYLIST AND JACQUELINE is the MANAGER. THE IS MY NIGHTMARE AND FAR FROM OVER!

Gosh Teresa! I am so sorry this happened to you! The reason your hair turned green is probably because they used a blonde color that had a green base, most likely an ash blonde color. White hair and blonde hair are the most porous types of hair color to have. You had also had a recent perm which made your hair even more porous. What does that mean? It means that your porous hair sucked up the base of the color and not the color.
They should've used a neutral base blonde color with a 10 volume peroxide. (To deposit the color only.)
Your hair will grow out sweetheart. That's the good news.
Take supplements like Super Biotin which will help your hair grow out faster. I hope you find some relief through the courts, but I have to be honest. It's highly doubtful. This is a classic case of he said, she said, unless you got a picture of your green hair. Now that your hair is all cut off, you can't prove you actually had green hair. The manager should be fired for treating you this way!
