Going from an Auburn Color to Blonde
by Nichole

My hair has faded to brown from purple/red and the roots and top are still red, but I want too dye my hair blonde. What should I do?

If you try and apply a blonde color to your hair as it is now, you will only make a color mess. It simply won't work. You can't just slap on a different color and expect your hair to look like the picture on the box!
You will have to remove the color from your hair completely first.
You can use a
color remover but apply it to the top/root areas first, before you apply it to the rest of your hair.
Auburn colors are very hard to get out of your hair and it may take two applications of remover before you get the color out completely.
Make sure your hair is totally moisturized
after you use a color remover and
before you color it again. Do a couple of
deep moisturizing treatments to make sure you restore elasticity and strength to your hair.
If you don't, your hair could end up looking and feeling like straw.
