Getting a Basic Trim

I walked into a salon that wasn't my usual but the cuts were $14 not the normal $30 I spend. Half price, way to go! (I didn't have a lot of money, I was saving it for Christmas presents.)
I walk in and there's only one man handling the whole shop. I sit down while he checks another woman in and wait patiently. When he comes back I show him a picture of what I want and tell him I'd like it about a 1/2 longer than the picture. (I'm in sports and I wanted to still be able to put it up.) He said okay and we set in. The style was drastic (to my shoulders) compared to my almost elbow length hair, so...
It's halfway through the cut and it looks NOTHING like the picture and way too short and choppy. He then, (with out asking), states that he has to take off another INCH. Before I can object he wields the scissors once again.
When he's done he asks me how I like it and to look in the mirror. Instead of the layered shoulder length hair I see a nasty chin length mess!! I stuttered and he laughs saying that I was "shocked". I wanted to scream, cry, and punch him in the face! But being "mature" (I'm only 14!) I calmly nodded and let him straighten it.
While he's burning my hair (HE DIDN'T EVEN USE A HAIR PROTECTANT!) I stared into the mirror in shock. Not only is it too short it's uneven!! and the basic shape of the cut isn't right. In the picture there's side bangs. And on my head? SHAG. It looked terrible!
So ladies, think twice about where you skip out on cash. If I knew it would've turned out like this I would've waited for the holidays to be over!

Gosh young lady! I am so sorry this happened to you before the holidays especially. How many more times are we going to just suffer silently though! Before I became a licensed Cosmetologist, I know I just sat there and allowed the hairdresser to do 'whatever' and never protested.
This is exactly the main reason that I teach ladies how to cut their own hair in my hair tube. Your hair may not turn out perfectly when you cut it yourself, but it's far better to make your own hair mistakes than let someone else make them for you!
Next time, I suggest that you go to your regular stylist or trim your own hair. Its not rocket science and you'll be far happier in the long run! Take Super Biotin to help your hair grow out sweetheart. It'll be long again in no time, thank gosh! That's the thing to remember when you get a bad haircut. Your hair will grow back!
