Get Rid of Bleached Hair!

I bleached my hair two days ago and I can't stand it! I want to dye it brown but if I go straight to brown it will probably be ashy blue-tinted, so should I dye it red and then brown? My mom wants me to wait because she thinks it will really damage my hair but I just want to get rid of it!

***************

The problem with putting any dark color on bleached hair, is that your hair right now is very thirsty. It will quickly absorb any color you apply to your hair and make it appear much darker. (Much like a damp sponge absorbs water.)

Before you color your hair, you need to 'fill in' the cuticle. You can do this by using a few deep conditioning hair treatments, or by applying a semi/demi permanent color. If you use color, always go lighter than you want.

After you've filled in the cuticle, if you wanted your hair to be a dark brown color, (for example) then use a light brown color and see what the color looks like. If its too light, then go darker incrementally until the color looks right to you.

Its always best to get into the water slowly (so to speak) than to jump right in!
