Frizzy Hair Creates Styling Problems!
My hair is frizzy all the time, I style my hair sort of like a faux hawk.
The only way I can style my hair is if I soak my hair with water and gently dry until damp, I then style my hair with a anti frizz cream. (I use John Frieda straight hair/anti frizz fixation.)
I use Aussie shampoo for dry damaged hair every 1-2 weeks because when I shampoo it is so hard to style my hair. But after I shower my hair gets really frizzy. Today I tried to follow one of this guys faux hawk hairstyle videos on youtube.
I took a shower, shampooed my hair, blow dried it like him, and put product in my hair and tried to style it but once it was already dry my hair won't style because it is so thick and the front of my hair is unbelievably frizzy :(
I would love to have hair like that guy in the slikhairtv channel but I don't know what to do to make my hair better, as all of the products he uses are in the UK and are hard to get in the USA. (No Amazon)
So all that's left for me to tell you is I get my haircut at Supercuts. They seem to butcher my hair most of the time. Please please help me. I don't know what to do and there are like no websites or forums to help people with hair problems like you are doing.

Freshly shampooed hair is extremely hard to style, so you are very right about that! I have
frizzy hair also, and find that applying products to
dry hair is a complete waste of time, product, and energy. To help tame frizzy hair, apply products to wet/damp hair instead, then comb through to distribute.
Have you tried smoothing products? They help frizzy hair a lot! My favorite is
Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff (which works for all hair colors) but there are a lot of other
smoothing creams on the market. The reason I prefer creams over oils, is that they don't make your hair look greasy!
You will need to do some more experimenting with different products though. If what you're doing isn't working, then try something else.
There are so many good products on the market today, so take your time and look through them. I would suggest going into a store and taking the time to look around. Avoid products that contain sulfites and sulfates as they can dry out your hair but do look for products that contain silicones or dimethicones. Both of these are
conditioning ingredients that are fine to use on short hair.
