Anti Aging Facial Skin Care that's Exhileratingly Easy!

Immerse yourself in beauty - MakeUp.com

Facial skin care is an essential key of anti aging. If you want to look younger, then take good care of your skin, period! Good facial skin can make or break the way you look! Clean clear skin attracts. Dull zitty skin does not.

All skin is not created equal! The skin on your face is different than the skin on any other part of your body. It's more delicate and prone to the conditions in the environment around you because it's always exposed. A glowing, healthy complexion is imperative if you want to feel and look great!

I know this sounds strange but it's actually good to ‘burn your face’ from time to time. It's not as bad as it sounds actually. The process includes creating a light skin peel that helps exfoliate dead superficial skin cells and reveal the new brighter skin below the skin's surface.

Best Facial Skin Care

  • The first product to use is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid lotion. Alpha Hydroxy Lotions contain fruity acids that gently peel your face and slough off dead, old skin cells. The process takes place over time and can help you look younger and more refreshed.

Products to try are Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion and Olay Age Defying Beta Hydroxy Cream work well for normal to oily skin. Sensitive skin types should use very low percentage AHA. Use an organic product like Beauty Without Cruelty Vitamin C UV Lotion with CoQ10 or lotions that are specially formulated for sensitive skin like Eucerin lotions.

  • The second product is a good toner. Toners won't break the bank. They are very effective, yet inexpensive. Toners not only help clean your face but they also help shrink pores, deep clean pores, and help maintain the natural PH balance of your skin.

As we age, skin expands. When facial skin expands, pores also expand. That's why as we age, our pores get larger. The larger your pores, the more dirt and bacteria can seep into your skin and the more problematic your skin can become. Shrinking the pores is not only sensible to keep out bacteria, but also a good way to tone the skin. That's why they're called toners. They actually tone the skin. They can actually be quite exhilerating to use.

That’s because they make your skin feel tingly and so very clean and refreshed. They should be a daily part of any anti aging facial skin care.

Some toner’s include an ingredient called Salicylic acid. These are completely safe for your face but you should know which one to buy for your skin type. The stronger the percentage of Salicylic Acid the more 'tingle' you will feel when you use it.

Salicylic Acids help slough off dead superficial facial skin cells and help create a very slight peel to the skin at a very slow rate. The dead skin cells are replaced by new skin cells. Over time, this cell 'turnover rate' will help your skin look so much younger and healthier!

Studies have shown that people who have oily skin may stay younger looking longer because of the oils in their skin, but they will also have larger pores. If you have normal to oily skin your pores may become enlarged from time to time.

If you have oily skin you'll need to use a stronger percentage Salicylic Acid toner. There are some great toner's on the market. Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner, Olay Refreshing Toner, and L'Oreal Toners have higher percentage hydroxy acids and work well with your skin type.

If you have normal to dry skin, use a toner with a slightly lower percentage Salicylic Acid. Organic toners work well for your skin. If you have very dry, sensitive skin, use toner for sensitive skin, which have no Salicylic Acid in it at all.

Toners are essential keeping your face clean and clear. Toners and AHA's are an essential part of daily facial skin care. They are also inexpensive yet a very effective part of anti aging skin care!

If toners and AHA's aren't quite doing it for you, you may want to consider a chemical peel. Chemical peels use 'acids' in stronger percentages to help renew your skin. Used to be that these were only available in a doctor's office. These same products are now available online but great care must be used to follow directions very carefully or you could actually do more harm than good.

    Did You Know???

Did you know that if you zip (use a depilatory wax), your facial hair, leg hair, or bikini line hair, that you should always use a toner after wards?

Hot wax changes the natural PH balance of your skin. They are very Acid in nature. Toners are Alkaline and help change your skin back to it's natural PH balance and soothes the skin.

The area that you zip will always look red or inflamed and maybe even feel like your skin is on FIRE. Using a toner will put out the FIRE and neutralize it! Facial skin care should be part of a daily skin care routine.
