The Evolutionary Story
Type O – The oldest and most basic blood type, the survivor at the top of the food chain, with a strong and ornery immune system willing to and capable of destroying anyone, friend, or foe.
Type A – The first immigrants, forced by the necessity of migration to adapt to a more agrarian diet and lifestyle, had a more cooperative personality to get along in crowded communities.
Type B – The assimilator, adapting to new climates and the mingling of populations who represented nature’s quest for a more balanced force between the tensions of the mind and the demands of the immune system.
Type AB – The delicate offspring of a rare merger between the tolerant Type A and the formerly barbaric but more balanced Type B.
Our ancestors left each of us a special legacy that is imprinted in our blood. This legacy permanently exists in the nucleus of each cell. From this, anthropology and science of our blood merge. Blood Type O
Eating all lean meats, seafood, spinach, broccoli and kale encourages weight loss. (high protein, low carbohydrate).
Cut out ALL of your wheat, grains, corn, kidney beans, lima beans, cabbage, brussel sprouts and cauliflower. These foods encourage weight gain. (Yes, this does include all bread!) Most people are allergic to wheat glutens. If your body disagrees with it, your metabolism slows way down.
Engage in vigorous aerobic exercise.
Your risk factors for ulcers and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis increase if you eat incorrectly for your type. You will be most prone to hypothyroidism and iodine deficiencies. (I have noticed over time that most of my 'Type O Blood' friends, crave salt or add salt to just about everything. This could have a direct link to the iodine deficiency that is linked to eating right for your blood type. If you crave salty foods, then you might also have Type O blood, just by this fact alone.)
Blood Type A
Your blood type diet is just about the opposite of the type O diet.
You should be a vegetarian (high carbohydrate, low fat). Cut out red meat completely or eat fish or chicken instead. Red meat slows down the digestive process and makes you sluggish. Vegetable oils aid in efficient digestion and prevent fluid retention. Pineapple speeds up your calorie utilization. You may eat wheat products in small amounts, without weight gain. Dairy foods encourage weight gain and are poorly digested by Type A.
Engage in gentle exercise such as yoga or golf.
Meditate to deal with stress.
Your risk factors are for Cancer and heart disease increases if you aren't eating right for your blood type.
Blood Type B
You should have the most varied diet of all the types; a diet which should include meat; yours is the only blood type that does well with dairy products. Corn, lentils, peanuts, sesame seeds and wheat products encourage weight gain, while green vegetables, meat, and dairy products encourage weight loss.
Engage in exercise such as moderate swimming or walking.
Your risk for slow-growing viruses that attack the nervous system increases if you aren't eating right for your blood type.
Blood Type AB
You have most of the benefits and intolerances of types A and B. For example, red meat, kidney beans, seeds, corn, and wheat encourage weight gain, while seafood, dairy, green vegetables, and pineapple encourage weight loss.
Engage in calming exercises and relaxation techniques.
You have the friendliest immune systems of all the blood types. The easiest way for you to lose weight, is to simply give up wheat. That maybe hard at first, but if you are eating right for your blood type, you will benefit the most by taking this one simple step.
Eating right for your blood type is one of the most sensible diets there is, save the Mediterranean diet. In my case, I was supposed to be a vegetarian all my life! I could never understand why when I ate red meat, I felt bloated and tired. Once I cut out red meat from my diet, I started looking and feeling more energized and lost belly fat.
