Eating Right for Your Blood Type - A Revolution in Weight Loss

Eating right for your blood type is one of the smartest ways to lose weight. The Blood Type diet is very easy to follow and do if you know which blood type you are. Your blood is either type A, O, B, or AB.

If you’re not sure about your blood type, you should ask someone in your family, like your mom. She probably knows. This diet is based on the type of blood you have at birth. Since there are four blood types, there are four diets. Each blood type should eat foods that compliment your blood type, and stay away from foods that disagree with it.

Have you ever wondered why there are 4 blood types. Why not just one? Or why not six or ten? There is a reason for four! (see below) Your blood type was determined long before you were born. It’s a legacy of history from your family, passed down from generation to generation. Each blood type is different, and therefore each diet is different!

If you’ve been wondering why you’re holding onto fat and not able to make grounds losing weight, you may find great interest in eating right for your blood type. When you eat foods that disagree with your body, you slow down your metabolism. What your body cannot use, it does not metabolize well.

You may have always sensed that some foods did not 'sit' right with you, all through your life but never known why! After you read about the eating right for your blood type diet, you should begin to understand why your body is not cooperating with you when you try to lose weight. There are many different aspects of eat right for your blood type. You will discover that there's a real concrete connection between the foods you eat and your blood.

Do you know your own blood type?

Most people are totally in the dark about their own blood type. If you don't know, the easiest way to find out is to get your doctor to type it for you. This can be done very simply in a doctor's office, but you will have to spare a small sample of blood in order to find out!

Why you should know your blood type!

  • Knowing your own blood type can literally save your life in an emergency.
  • Knowing your blood type will help you understand what foods you should be eating.
  • Without knowing your blood type, this diet will be of no advantage to you!

If you can't find out your blood type, you might still be able to figure it out from the foods that disagree with you or upset your stomach. Once you read the book, you can make an educated guess. Of course, the best thing to do is to know for sure. You may end up not eating right for your blood type, and that would be self defeatest!

    The Blood Type Connection

  • Your blood type - O, A, B, or AB, is a powerful genetic fingerprint that identifies you as definitely as your DNA.
  • When you use the individualized characteristics of your blood type as a guideline for eating and living, you will be healthier, you will naturally reach your ideal weight, and you will slow down the aging process.
  • Your blood type is a more reliable measure of your identity than race, culture, or geography. It is a genetic blueprint for you; a guide to how you can live most healthfully.

    The Evolutionary Story

  • Type O – The oldest and most basic blood type, the survivor at the top of the food chain, with a strong and ornery immune system willing to and capable of destroying anyone, friend, or foe.
  • Type A – The first immigrants, forced by the necessity of migration to adapt to a more agrarian diet and lifestyle, had a more cooperative personality to get along in crowded communities.
  • Type B – The assimilator, adapting to new climates and the mingling of populations who represented nature’s quest for a more balanced force between the tensions of the mind and the demands of the immune system.
  • Type AB – The delicate offspring of a rare merger between the tolerant Type A and the formerly barbaric but more balanced Type B.
  • Our ancestors left each of us a special legacy that is imprinted in our blood. This legacy permanently exists in the nucleus of each cell. From this, anthropology and science of our blood merge. Your blood type reflects your internal chemistry and determines the way your body absorbs nutrients. What foods you absorb well and how your body handles stress differ with each blood type, therefore eating right for your blood type helps you design a total healthy lifestyle that's better suited to you and your weight loss goals!

    Blood Type O

  • Eating all lean meats, seafood, spinach, broccoli and kale encourages weight loss. (high protein, low carbohydrate).
  • Cut out ALL of your wheat, grains, corn, kidney beans, lima beans, cabbage, brussel sprouts and cauliflower. These foods encourage weight gain. (Yes, this does include all bread!) Most people are allergic to wheat glutens. If your body disagrees with it, your metabolism slows way down.
  • Engage in vigorous aerobic exercise.
  • Your risk factors for ulcers and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis increase if you eat incorrectly for your type. You will be most prone to hypothyroidism and iodine deficiencies. (I have noticed over time that most of my 'Type O Blood' friends, crave salt or add salt to just about everything. This could have a direct link to the iodine deficiency that is linked to eating right for your blood type. If you crave salty foods, then you might also have Type O blood, just by this fact alone.)

    Blood Type A

  • Your blood type diet is just about the opposite of the type O diet.
  • You should be a vegetarian (high carbohydrate, low fat). Cut out red meat completely or eat fish or chicken instead. Red meat slows down the digestive process and makes you sluggish. Vegetable oils aid in efficient digestion and prevent fluid retention. Pineapple speeds up your calorie utilization. You may eat wheat products in small amounts, without weight gain. Dairy foods encourage weight gain and are poorly digested by Type A.
  • Engage in gentle exercise such as yoga or golf.
  • Meditate to deal with stress.
  • Your risk factors are for Cancer and heart disease increases if you aren't eating right for your blood type.

    Blood Type B

  • You should have the most varied diet of all the types; a diet which should include meat; yours is the only blood type that does well with dairy products. Corn, lentils, peanuts, sesame seeds and wheat products encourage weight gain, while green vegetables, meat, and dairy products encourage weight loss.
  • Engage in exercise such as moderate swimming or walking.
  • Your risk for slow-growing viruses that attack the nervous system increases if you aren't eating right for your blood type.

    Blood Type AB

  • You have most of the benefits and intolerances of types A and B. For example, red meat, kidney beans, seeds, corn, and wheat encourage weight gain, while seafood, dairy, green vegetables, and pineapple encourage weight loss.
  • Engage in calming exercises and relaxation techniques.
  • You have the friendliest immune systems of all the blood types. The easiest way for you to lose weight, is to simply give up wheat. That maybe hard at first, but if you are eating right for your blood type, you will benefit the most by taking this one simple step.

Eating right for your blood type is one of the most sensible diets there is, save the Mediterranean diet. In my case, I was supposed to be a vegetarian all my life! I could never understand why when I ate red meat, I felt bloated and tired. Once I cut out red meat from my diet, I started looking and feeling more energized and lost belly fat.

When you make a conscious decision to start eating right for your blood type, you should begin to notice the pounds coming off of you. Once you cut out all those foods that disagree with you, you'll be on your way to your weight loss goals!
