Invaluable Dieting Tip

An invaluable dieting tip is one that is naturally sensible. There are many tips for weight loss that don't make any sense. There are many more that are good, make a lot of sense, but don't work. It’s no mystery that some diets are better than others.

It’s like this: The best dieting tip is not to use, what I call, the big 'D' word! Don't use the word ‘diet’ in your vocabulary. Instead say ‘healthy eating’ or ‘eating healthy’. Using the word ‘diet’ can confuse your body and your brain. (Do we really need more confusion?)

To make my point, lets look at some synonyms for the word ‘diet’.They are as follows: abstain, restrict, limit, fast, go without, reduce, starve oneself, calorie count, starvation, slim down, watch weight, tighten belt, reduce.


The list goes on... but YIKES! Makes you want to run for the hills, doesn't it? You can clearly see why you too, shouldn't use 'the word' in your vocabulary.

We all gets a lot of verbal cues when we hear: dieting tip, dieting, diet. There is really only one good dieting tip, and its called eating healthy and wholesome food.

It's the best way to lose weight and the most satisfactory to your body and mind if you think of these words instead.

When you deprive yourself of the foods you love altogether, you will most probably only devour those foods later when you’ve just begun to make progress to lose weight. You'll may feel like you've done a good job so far and feel entitled to reward yourself with something you shouldn't really eat.

It’s called deprivation and it sucks! You’ll be saying so long to all the effort you’ve made so far, because you have deprived yourself!

Healthy eating doesn’t mean an occasional splurge is bad for you, unless having a few rewards changes your healthy eating plan. Its OK to eat unhealthy foods less often, making healthy foods your choice more often, if you can remember to stick to your plan.

The worst dieting tip is called ‘starvation dieting’ or ‘crash dieting’.



*Crash Dieting

People who don’t eat during the day think they will lose weight by doing so. This is not a good dieting tip! This is so untrue!

When you deprive your body of food altogether, you are telling your body that you are in the 'starvation mode'. When your body is in the starvation mode, you body signals your brain to HOLD ON TO YOUR FAT!

If you are starving, your body will fight hard to survive and will keep all the fat it can to do so. So please don’t think that you are doing a good thing or that you will lose weight by not eating!

Its actually does quite the opposite! Fat cells are the cells that free radicals attack, which can be a precursor to Cancer! Get rid of fat cells! Don’t accumulate them!

Both my sister and my brother were Bulimic. It was unheard of back in the ‘70’s, especially for a guy! But our family knew about Bulimia and Anorexia early on. Believe me, it was a very hard time. No one knew how to help them. My brother got over it somewhat, but Bulimia is what truly killed my sister.

Although she died in a car accident, the doctors told us that if she had been a healthy weight when the crash occurred, that she might have lived through it. At least she might have stood a chance. But she died instead. My sister was 5'7" and weighed around 75 pounds when she died. There was little of her left when she passed.

Don’t play dangerous games with your health. God only gives us one body only. Your body is supposed to be your temple! Take care of it.

If you are at a stand still with your weight and are totally frustrated, you may well need to kick start your metabolism. There is a way to accelerate weight loss by eliminating the toxins in your body. When you lose the toxins, you lose deep visceral fat. Fat cells attach to toxins that enter your body and then are dispersed in the body...especially in the mid section. You can speed up weight loss by doing a nutritious health cleanse.

The other dieting tip that’s super unhealthy is yoyo dieting. It is as equally dangerous as crash dieting!

*Fluctuating Weight (As attributed to YoYo Dieting)

I know people who allow their weight to fluctuate back and forth, from heavy to thin and back again. This is very unhealthy also. It would be better to stay either bigger or smaller in size than to keep going up and down in weight.

We are all different for a reason. I think that everyone should be the best weight that they can, even if it means being a bit overweight! There are so many things that play a role in weight. You can’t control all the variables. Just be the best you can be for you!

Weight fluctuations stress your internal organs and send mixed messages to your body.

It you are happier when you are bit larger, it is better and healthier to just remain a bit larger. You will not be doing your body any favors by trying to be thin, if your genetic makeup won’t allow it. Find a good body weight FOR YOU and stick to it!

We are all different. We are NOT all the same. Each one of us is a unique individual. Be the best you can be at whatever weight you meant to be!

If you want a good dieting tip, then get one that’s healthy that will help you flourish! Don't try dieting tips that are detrimental to your health like crash dieting or yoyo dieting. You will be sacrificing a lot more than you realize!
