Curly Hair is Straight Now - Help!

Hi I have naturally curly hair and I been blowing my hair straight for about 7 years. I dye my hair twice a year too. Now when I wash my hair and let it air dry its completely straight, no curls! What can I use or do to get my curls back?

Your hair could be straight now for a couple of reasons.
If your hair has gotten a lot longer than it used to be, the sheer weight of your hair could be pulling out the curls.
If you've been through an emotional change in life and/or been under a lot of stress, hair patterns can change. Hormones rule the day for many women!
Hair patterns can change however, throughout your life for no particular reason. Its impossible to change your hair pattern by using heat only, so just know that you didn't cause this to happen. For a hair pattern to change, the structure of the hair bonds have to be broken and then rebuilt with the assistance of chemicals.
If you want your curly hair back:
You may want to
cut a few long layers in your hair if your hair is medium length or longer. This would create less 'weight' and could help bring out your natural curls. You could also try using
curling shampoos, which work for some women. You could also try
cowashing your hair just to see if it would help!
Also, one of my favorite tricks is to
shampoo and condition your hair, then braid it in a tight braid (or make several braids) and allow it to dry naturally. When you take the braids out, you get lots of neat curl patterns that look cool!
If you've already tried these things, they didn't work or help, but you still
really want
curly hair, your best option is to have your hair permed.
