Curly Hair is now Straight

I'm a black woman whose hair has gone from naturally curly to completely straight, about 2 years ago. I haven't had any children in 5 years so that option is eliminated. I don't chemically straighten my hair and haven't in over 5 years. So, what happened?

For one thing, your hair changes as you age. My hair for example, has gotten very fine, whereas its texture used to be medium.
I have to wonder if its not a vitamin deficiency of some kind? Or if you have some kind of condition (like Diabetes) now that you didn't have before? It could also be linked to stress! There aren't many people around the world right now that aren't stressed out because of the bad economy!
It could also be related to hormones. As women age, they lack the amounts of hormones that they used to have as younger women.
If you like your hair curly, the best thing to do is to curl it yourself. On the other hand, many black women perm their hair like crazy to get it straight! You may not like it very much but other women are probably green with envy about now!
The only other advice I have is that God works in mysterious ways. Your hair changing patterns maybe a signal that its a good time to get a check up and make sure everything's working properly. If it is, acceptance is the key to happiness! XO
