Curly Ends on Straight Hair

by Marina
(Malaysia)

I am Marina and I am 20 years old. From childhood I have very silky and straight hair. But for the past few months the ends of my hair just becomes curly. The curls look very bad since they are not proper curls just random bending of the hairs. I want to know why is this happening and what can I do to solve this??? I also have dandruff problem and if I don't shampoo two consecutive days, I have to put oil on my hair.

I don't know what products you have available in your country but here in the US, there are a multitude of smoothing products on the market. If you can find them, look for smoothing shampoos and conditioners. You can also apply smoothing creams to just the ends of your hair, since that's where you have the problem.

Organic hair products are always a better choice too. They have more natural ingredients that help moisturize your hair.

Argan oil is a great oil to try, if you haven't used it. It's non greasy so it will help create shine without grease.

You could also try using leave in conditioners on the ends of your hair. These add weight to your hair, which will help it lay down and behave better for you.

I suspect (because of your age) that hormones are to blame for your dry scalp, since this is a relatively new problem for you. It should get better in time. If it persists, you may want to try a dandruff shampoo.
