    More Ideas for Dark Hair

    * Women who have dark hair and dark eyes, can accentuate their look by using black or dark brown mascara, liner, and eyeshadow. Smokey eyes look really good on those with dark features.

    * When you experiment with different colors, you shouldn't spend a lot of money on them if you're not sure how they'll look. Buy inexpensive brands first, to try them. One of the best places to get great deals is e.l.f. cosmetics. They've got so many products to choose from and they're all only $1. Where else can you buy 20 different items for $20? Not many! Especially not for cosmetics! Go into Belks or Macys and $20 won't buy even one item!

For smokey eyes, use a white and dark gray (or black) eyeshadows. You can buy blends that have a nice blend altogether in one product. Look for smokey eyeshadow selections here!. Apply the base color over the entire eyelid and then apply the dark shadow in the crease of the eyelid and apply the white shadow in the inner corner of the eye. Blend it gently into the dark color with your shadow brush. It will really make your eyes pop out! If you don't like the stark black shadow, calm it down by using your brush to apply a gray color on top of the black. Or you can simply use the white over the black shadow and then blend it well to make a dark gray color from scratch.
    (black + white = gray)

Use lots of dark mascara and liner too! Your eyes will be mysterious and alluring. Accentuate your dark eyes, by using a strong red or burnt red lipstick. You'll stand out in a crowd!

    * Since I'm a seasoned hairdresser, I know that one of the easiest ways to change things up a bit, is to add some highlights or lowlights to your dark hair for contrast. Blend in a few strands of lighter colors around your face to brighten your eyes and make your hair look shinier.

Use golds, reds, burgundy's, and any other shades of brown, (besides your own), for a blend of subtle colors throughout your hair.

Three different colors working together, give you a blend that really gives your hair depth and a smooth, sexy, shimmery look!

Cosmetic make up for dark hair is just like learning to ride a bike. Once you get it right and you look fantastic, you won't ever forget how to do it!
