Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. today. Only Lung cancer is more deadly. There is a new, simple test to help you find out your risks of having it. Colo-rectal Screening for Cancer is a very important test that is needed if you have a history of colon cancer in your family or if you are over the age of 50.

After the age of 50 the risk of developing Colo-rectal cancer increases dramatically for both men and women. According to the American Cancer Society, 'In 2003 an estimated 148,000 American men and women were diagnosed with Colo-rectal Cancer and an estimated 57,000 people possibly died from it'.

In it’s early stages Colo-rectal Cancer is one of the most curable forms of Cancer. Catching it early is the key to saving lives. There is a 95% chance for a five year survival rate in patients with colon cancer that is found in it’s early stage.

There is now a way possible, to get screened for this disease without having to endure a colonoscopy! Its called Pre-Gen Plus! Pre Gen Plus is a simple, non-invasive way to get screened.

Advances in genetic research have led to the development of a non-invasive test designed to detect changes in your DNA which are shed from Colo-rectal cancer to the stool.

There are several advantages to this test for colon cancer!

It’s simple! There is no need to prepare for the test and no modification of diet or medications. The collection process is very easy to do!

It’s convenient! You DON'T NEED to take time off from work or ASK someone to drive you to and from the specialist’s office because you are NOT sedated. You are in control of when and where you collect the specimen.

It’s non-invasive! There is no discomfort! Pre Gen Plus comes in a kit and all you have to do is collect one sample which will be shipped off and tested by your physician. If there is nothing found, then you are done!

If they do find anything abnormal, then you may have to submit to other tests, but getting the initial screen is fast and easy.

If you have had chronic bowel problems or detect any sudden change in your bowel habits, please get screened! Colon Cancer is nothing to mess around with. It is deadly and this simple test could save your life!

90% of all Cancers are preventable through lifestyle changes and nutrition. Find out more about how to reduce your risk of Cancer.

Symptoms of Colorectal Cancer

  • Change in bowel habits
  • Diarrhea, constipation, or feeling that the bowel does not empty completely
  • Bright red or very dark blood in the stool
  • Narrow stools
  • Gas pains, bloating, fullness, and cramps
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Vomiting

One possible reason for the high numbers of deaths from colorectal cancer, is that those at risk are not getting screened. Screening tests can be unpleasant, but there are new tests on the horizon that may help people not fear the testing as much.

  • DNA test. One emerging test uses DNA to detect abnormal cells in a stool sample. In tests run at the Mayo Clinic, this test was 91% accurate in detecting colorectal cancer. (Pre Gen Plus)

  • Virtual colonoscopy. Virtual colonoscopy, also called computerized tomography (CT) colonography, uses a CT scan to take images of the abdomen. This test requires a clean colon, much like a conventional colonoscopy. It's not yet known if this new test is as sensitive at detecting colorectal cancer as a colonoscopy.

  • Wireless capsule endoscopy. This test, (which has gotten a lot of media attention lately), is one in which the patient swallows a tiny camera contained in a capsule. The patient wears a recorder around the waist, which receives the photos from the camera as it passes through the digestive tract. The camera then harmlessly passes out of the body.

To prevent colon cancer, you'll need to have good elimination. Being 'bound up' can cause toxins in your body and cause more free radicals. The more free radicals you have, the more your chances of disease and illness.

Keep your bowels moving along well, by supplying them with the good bacteria, that are necessary for proper elimination. Active Culture Probiotics are the most potent and are finally on the market. Technology has come a long way, and you should take advantage of it!
