Chase Bank Disses Loyal Customers

I have had a chase credit card for 3 years and I've NEVER made a late payment or paid the minimum amount and NEVER gone over the credit limit, etc.
Ever since the economy crashed my APR went from a single digit percentage to 17.24%. I called customer service and they basically said they could not lower the APR because of new regulations. I am now considering paying off my balance as soon as possible and not use it for a very l-o-n-g time. I want to cancel my card but run the risk of it hurting my credit score which is almost excellent. I wish there was something we could all do to stop this travesty from continuing.

This is the same thing that continues to happen with Chase Bank Card Services. They basically did the same thing to me. Its a real dilemma Anthony and it doesn't look like its going to get any better, anytime soon.
I'm not exactly sure what the answer is. Credit card companies continue to exploit us with their unfair practices. Loyal customers like you and me, continue to get hurt, while CEO's continue to get compensation.
Without us, these credit card agencies wouldn't even exist, yet we are the ones getting punished. Make absolutely no sense at all. Their bottom lines are decidedly all they care about!!!
