Breast Augmentation for Aging Breasts?

We all have aging breasts, no matter what you’re age! Should breast augmentation be something to consider as we grow older and wiser? As we stumble into menopause, which happens sooner now for many women than it did for our mothers, there are many changes to your body. Estrogen and progesterone levels fall quickly and signal the breasts that its milk ducts and lobes can retire. As a result, the breasts shrink, add fat, and begin to sag. Of course gravity is still pushing down on us, so that can make sagging even more of a drag!

When you start sagging though, its one time that you may want to consider breast augmentation, if only to give yourself a lift! You may also decide that you need implants for purposes beyond the aging process. However if you’re ONLY looking for a little 'lift', there are some simple things you can do besides breast augmentation!

Women choose to

have implants

for a number

of different reasons!

From Sag to Glad

1) Weight Around! - Use weights up, down, and around! Lifting weights is one surefire way to keep your breasts looking great! There is no way to build up the breast’s fatty tissue, but you can build up the pectoralis muscles. (Pecs) To prevent or reduce sagging, you’ll need a set of two-pound weights. (5 pound are fine for more advanced. athletes) With a weight in each hand, extend your arms outwards to the sides and do 15 small backward circles, starting with small circles. Do another 15 reps but widen the circles slightly. Repeat. Work up to 50 circles in each rep. *Note – If you don’t have weights, you can substitute just about anything. Books work well, book ends, candles, juice cans, milk jugs, etc.

2) Rock N’ Roll - Roll your shoulders back with your arms hanging at your sides. Roll back, down, and forward in circular movements 15-20 times. Do this five times a day or more if you have time!

3) Get Down! - Get down and do PUSH UPS! Start off your routine to firm breasts by doing 10 push-ups a day. Work your way up to 20 a day. This may take you up to six months but its doable. To make working up to 20 reps easier for you, add one extra push-up a week. Just work at it! If you can’t do man type push-ups, do this. Get down on your hands and knees. Raise your feet six inches off the floor, and lower your upper body down to within an inch of the floor. Do this five days or more a week if you can.

4) Support Sagging - Supporting your breasts is required if you don’t want to opt for breast augmentation or correction! Get a good bra that supports you well. Breasts should not ‘bounce’ around in a good supportive bra. Females over the age of 15 are encouraged to purchase a good style bra for their body that has good support. Women should wear a bra all the time to help keep ‘things’ in place.

There is a new product on the market for sagging breasts that really works. Its called Lush Bust. From the reviews, this stuff works! It costs a bit more, but as one lady explained she only uses it once a day instead of twice a day and it really, really helps. Check it out!

5) Good Bye to Stretch Marks - Stretch marks can be an unsightly problem for women, especially after child birth. It they are located on the top and sides of the breasts and look red and inflamed, then there is a simple solution that really works. Its called Retin-A or Tretinoin. Talk to your doctor about a prescription for it. Not only does Retin-A tighten the stretched skin, but it also helps build a new super structure under the skin to help re-firm it!

If you can't afford Retin-A, I researched this and found that you can buy Mustela Stretch Marks Double Action and BELLI Stretchmark Minimizing Cream, which cost much less.

6) HRT - Hormone replacement therapy has been touted in the past for its ability to help change some of the effects of aging after menopause. This is a consideration only you and your doctor can determine. There have been too many bad reports about HRT recently, for me to feel good about recommending it. However, like any other drug therapy, it does have it’s place. There are times and circumstances where it may be a good idea. HRT can help your breasts from sagging more but the negative effects of it need to be weighed too. Its all a matter of checks and balances!

Women choose to have breast augmentation for a lot of different reasons. They can include:

  • Enhancement
  • Correction
  • Improvement
  • Restoration

I know from personal experience that implants can really help. After I stopped breast feeding my son, my breasts were terribly uneven. One stayed large and the other one shrunk a LOT. I had corrective surgery to 'even' them out. My mental state improved immensely. That was over 17 years ago. I've never regretted having the surgery!

If you feel like you are a good candidate for it, check out this web site. It has some great, factual information!
