Born Blonde Ultra Blue by Clairol

Is Born Blonde Ultra Blue by Clairol considered hair color or bleach? If it is hair color what are the specifications, for example: it is 9 or 10 ash blonde with 40 volume peroxide? I used it on my dark brown color, and it took double the processing time to get to the blonde I wanted.
What will happen if on the touch up I accidentally overlap into already colored hair? Will it break?
Also, what is considered bleach? What are the ingredients/brand/shades? Is bleach recommended for all over blonde color? Thank you.
**************
Born Blonde Ultra Blue by Clairol is a high lift hair color, especially made to lift darker shades of hair color.
If you overlap, you will not have immediate damage. However, if you continue to overlap during root touch ups, your hair will become more and more susceptible to hair breakage, since blonde hair is especially porous. For this reason, using regular
protein treatments with moisture is especially important when you're using high lift colors again and again.
Bleach is a powder and is used for a variety of reasons. You can use it for highlights, all over color, and more. Using bleach for all over colors however, should only be used in a professional setting like a salon! There are too many brands and types of bleach on the market to mention. For general purposes, bleach is bleach is bleach. It is a very strong product and should not be used by the general public.
Licensed Cosmetologist or people with a lot of color experience are the only people who should use them. Bleach ingredients are different than color ingredients but both are chemicals. Bleach of course, is a much stronger product than even the lightest of hair colors.
Most high lift box colors should come with 40 volume peroxide. This information however, is not usually given to the consumer. Why? I have no clue. It all depends on the company/manufacturer and the hair color. I suppose that the Born Blonde product is a level 10 hair color but if the box doesn't say what level it is, I'm only guessing. There should be a 1-800 number on the back of the box that you can call and ask questions about the product.
I don't use box colors so I really don't know anymore about them, except that I don't like them nor use them. I mix my own hair colors because its the best way to get good, dependable results. If you're going to
color your hair at home long term, you might consider using them too.
