Blonde Highlights in Light Brown Hair
by Dani
I had blonde hair as a kid and now its turning light brown. I want to keep my hair blonde, but I do not want to dye all of my hair because of the damage it causes. Should I get thin highlights or thick highlights? Also should I add lowlights?

It would be best to opt for thin sections of highlights so it looks more natural. You use lowlights if you want to create depth (perception of having thick(er) hair) but winter might be a better time to have these done. If you get out in the sun, they'll lighten this time of year anyway.
Chunky highlights are best suited when you want a heavy contrast or vibrant colors to stand out. Since you only want blonde (and I think you are smart thinking this way), you wouldn't necessarily want chunky colors.

Best Hair Color Shades to Compliment Your Hair Did want to mention that coloring all of your hair does not damage your hair if you use color correctly. Most people aren't smart about using color and apply color root to tip most of the time. That's called 'overlapping' and is what causes
hair damage from color.... plus over time, it changes the color effects that you get. Hair will continue to get lighter and lighter or darker and darker, depending on the color level and peroxide volume used.
The correct way to apply color on a regular basis is to only color new growth (root growth) monthly.
