Bleach washing patchy dyed blonde hair
I am thinking about bleach washing my hair because it is a patchy blonde. Okay, here's the story...
I have naturally curly hair and my hair looks okay if I just wash it and leave it natural, so I don't need to do this right away so don't tell me about damage lol. Anyway, I have naturally dirty blonde hair, I dyed it red like a year and a half ago. Of course, it turned brown after 2 weeks. So I let my hair grow out and was cutting off the damage; it was completely healthy and everything. So about 2 or 3 months ago I bleached it and it turned out patchy. I went ahead and toned it anyway. I then dyed it a golden blonde that same night. It was still patchy but looked okay with my hair being curled and bangs pulled back. I then dyed it again another blonde color a week later in an attempt to even it out but it pretty much looked the same. 8 weeks later I dyed it a light ash blonde, once again to try and even it out. It wasn't brassy or anything. It just made everything lighter (which was good) but it didn't fix the patchiness of it.
I REALLY need the patchiness fixed and will NOT go to a salon. I love straightening my hair but it just doesn't look good with the patches obviously. So I came across bleach washing and thought it might be a good idea but haven't found any info online other than how to do it. I really don't want to bleach it normally again just because the process was so aggravating lol. Honestly, I don't care if my hair gets damaged. It didn't even get damaged from all the **** I did to it. Its really soft. So what do you think my results would be? I wanted to do it in like a month or two.
Btw, through this whole process I have been trying to achieve platinum/white blonde. The same color Taylor Momsen currently has.
Any help is greatly appreciated :D

Bleach washing shouldn't hurt your hair. Do remember to only apply the bleach mixture to the areas that need lifting only. You may have to do this several times to get good results though.
If this doesn't work, you could try spot treating those darker areas with color. Use a light blonde neutral or ash color with 20 volume peroxide and only apply the color to the darker areas.
You can also use products that help lift your hair. One product that caught my eye recently was
John Frieda Go Blonder. It might be worth a try!
In case you need it, here's the proper process for bleach washing.
Bleach Washing Mix one ounce of any kind of HAIR bleach, with one ounce of a developer, (typically you'd use 20 volume but for stubborn colors, you might want to try a higher percentage developer like 30 or 40 volume), with one ounce of regular shampoo.
Apply the mixture to the areas of your hair that need lifting only. If you are trying to lift all your hair, then you'll need to double or triple the ingredients (depending on the length of your hair) and to apply it from roots to ends.
Allow it to process for 10 - 20 minutes. You will need to 'watch' your hair carefully. If it starts getting too light, remove the mixture immediately.
Wash out the solution and condition as usual.
