Black Hair Color on Skin

Like most women, I want my hair and results to look great! But, I don't even know where to start or what went wrong. When I need a touch up for my
dyed black roots, I go to a certain salon. People there are nice and very friendly. I stick with the same hair dresser and have had great results... but not anymore. The last time wasn't A+ but I shrugged it off. She cut my bangs a little crooked, but I fixed it. Recently?...
I scheduled a week later and earlier in the day than I wanted to originally go because of how booked she was. It was my only available time. When I arrived she seemed lethargic or having an off day.
The process began and she was doing a feckless job, hence she wiped some excess hair dye off my skin then let my long hair down. Afterward I went home to get ready for the night, but looked in the mirror. There was black hair dye behind/ inside/ outside both ears, on the back/ side of my neck, sides of my face, cheek and forehead.
The first thing that came to my mind was, unprofessional. The second thing, I better start scrubbing to get this stuff off. Third? If I wanted to do a crappy job, I could have gone to Wal-Mart, bought some hair dye, and did a worse job myself! I took a shower and scrubbed best I could. After? My scalp itched. Found out not all dye had been washed to begin with. Scabs are now on the back of my ears and neck. It's not a good feeling nor is it welcoming. My ears are crusted with oils, very grody!
I'm never going back to that place ever again. My complaint to them will come first thing in the morning!

Dark hair colors are the worst for getting off your skin! However, dark hair colors also have very dense color molecules. It can take about a week before they'll completely rinse out of your hair. If you noticed hair color in the shower, this is why.
Still, its no excuse for getting hair color all over your face and your ears. She could have easily removed this by applying more color to the areas and rubbing them lightly before she washed your hair. (Color removes color.) Dark hair colors are extremely hard to remove from your skin once its adhered to it. It can take a while!
Every hair dresser has a bad day every now and again. Its just the nature of the beast. She could have at least warned you that she was having an off day. You'd have known to cancel your appointment and rebook it. I did this for my clients when I was working in a salon. Some canceled but most (curiously) still opted to come to the appointment. At least they knew what they were getting into though:o) Sorry this happened to you!
