Your Beauty and Health – A One on One Relationship!



Your beauty and health are very important to pay attention to. That’s a fact!

Last year the US spent a whopping 10 billion dollars on cosmetics and over 28 billion dollars on prescription drugs.

Those large numbers speak volumes about what American’s think is important. Your health and your beauty are on the top of your priority list, yet the two subjects are rarely talked about together.

For beauty and health, consume more fresh fruits and vegetables to give you the nutrients your body needs to rejuvenate. They will make you feel good about the decisions you make. Moderate unwholesome foods and eat wholesome foods more often. The best time to start is right now!

When you're unhealthy, your hair is dry and brittle and/or skin color might be sallow and pale. When you aren’t healthy, you just don’t look healthy. You can’t emit a glowing look, if you don’t get the right nutrition in your body.

Your body’s cells need nutrients (energy) to work properly. Without the proper nutrients, cells can become sick or Cancerous. Keep healthy and more beautiful by following some of these health and beauty tips!

Tips for Beauty and Health

  • Take vitamins and minerals. - Without the essential vitamin supplements, your body can’t thrive and won’t thrive. Minerals help provide the building blocks for our cells. The daily amounts needed to stay younger, far exceed the amounts recommended by the FDA. If you want to lose 10 years off your age, (in 10 weeks or less), you need to get the most out of the vitamins you take. Take care of yourself and get the right combination of vitamins your body needs to combat aging and improve your beauty and health! If you take a multivitamin, know this. Lead has been found in many of them in the US. Talc maybe also listed as an ingredient on many of them!

    A better way to take vitamin supplements is to take them separately. If you prefer multivitamins, be sure to get the kinds that have active enzymes and active nutrients in them. This means that the nutrients in them have been extracted from real foods. Without active sources, vitamins will do you no good.

  • Consume nutritious foods. - You know the kind.

    Leafy green and/or brightly colored vegetables, fresh fruits, lean cuts of meat and lower amounts of meat, preservative free foods, fiber rich foods, nuts, berries, and fish.

    Eat less junk food, bread, dairy, and sugary snacks. There are trade offs! Weigh out the good and the bad when you think about food. Its OK to pick out less healthy foods occasionally. Just make it the exception, not the rule.

    To reap both the benefits of beauty and health, eat five small well balanced meals a day to burn calories. You should eat a light breakfast, (like a protein shake, smoothie, or piece of fruit), eat a bigger lunch, (lunch time is when you burn the most calories), and a small dinner (both nutritious and delicious). Overindulgence is not normal. If you overeat, try and figure out how and you can stop the vicious cycle and why you can't seem to.

  • H20 it. - Water hydrates your body, cleans environmental toxins out of cells, carries away waste products, and keep your skin soft and supple. Be sure to get 10 glasses of pure fresh water a day. (filtered I’m sure)

  • Omega 3’s. - The fat found in avocados, nuts, and some oils, are actually good fats. They are also good sources of phyto-nutrients and essential fatty acids. These fats help protect against heart disease and Cancer and also help dispel some forms of depression.

  • Exercise is good. - Exercise, no matter how much or how little, can help elevate your mood by releasing endorphins in your body. These are the feel good chemicals that are released when we feel elated or happy. Ten minutes of exercise, five times a week is a good start for beauty and health. You can squeeze in 10 minutes a day somewhere. Strength training is extremely important as we age and a great way to kick start weight loss. Make exercise a top priority and it will happen.

  • Breathe in and out. - Taking deep breaths of air, will help relax you and send lots of oxygen to your cells. Your body needs lots of good fresh oxygen to function properly. The deeper you breathe, the more your skin, hair, and nails will show it.

  • Relax. - Find time to relax every day. You can read a book, walk the dog, watch a favorite show, or just sit out on the front porch and listen to the birds sing. Whatever your forte and wherever you live, if you can find time to relax a bit each day, you will look refreshed and your skin will glow!

  • Don’t do it. - Too much of anything is not good for you. This includes caffeine, tobacco products, drugs, alcohol, and the sun.

    Each one of these items can have detrimental effects on your beauty and health. Anything that's toxic to your body can make you age very quickly. If you have an addiction to any of these toxic products, try to consume/do them less frequently and vow to live a healthy lifestyle more frequently. The ill side effects of all of these toxins are far reaching.

  • Get rid of toxins. - Toxins in your body are very harmful to your health. Remember, if you’re not healthy, you won’t look healthy and you won’t look as good as you would if you were toxin free. Environmental toxins cause havoc in our bodies. Did you know that pesticides are now part of our food chain? One excellent way to get rid of excess toxins is to do a cleanse. One cleanse can kick start weight loss and cleanse your body nutritionally. Get rid of toxins and start leading your life fresh and renewed today!

  • Don’t fret! - Stress is an aging paradox. We don’t ever get stress free however, stress can age you more quickly than any other one thing. It can make you sick, old, and gray haired before your time. We might not be able to get rid of stress completely, but you can make daily de-stressing part of your life. Just sit and be still for a few moments each day. Block out noises and thoughts that run through your head. Learn to just ‘be’. Breathe in and out and be thankful for your life. You were born beautiful into this world and are an important part of the universe!

  • Sleep for life. - Sound sleep is vital to anti aging and beauty and health. If you want to look refreshed every day, you must get some beauty sleep at night. The amount of hours you sleep is dependent solely on you. We are all different and therefore have different needs. If you wake up tired every morning, then you should get into bed earlier at night. If you wake up during the night and can’t get back to sleep, then you might need to go to bed later. Adjust your life to your needs and visa versa. You will figure out your sleeping curve and look younger with each passing day.

  • Think thin. - If you are feeling a little fat and pudgy in your clothes, you will need to lose some of the excess fat on your body. Fat slows your body down. You can't move as fast, you get other health concerns, and the downward spiral begins. Excess fat can kill you. It can turn an efficient body into a bowl of jello. Don't do it to yourself. You were born beautiful, so be beautiful. You can't look great if you are bulging at the seams! People think that losing weight is about weight loss. Its not! Its about a balanced healthy lifestyle!

    Take good care of the outside and the inside. They are both equally important! Your beauty and health will show it!
