Badly Damaged Blonde Hair

by Mya
(San Juan Capistrano, CA)

My hair is platinum blonde and it is breaking off and very thin and won't grow anymore. How do I help my hair grow and be healthy again?

**********************

Blonde hair is very porous so it has the capacity to lose moisture quickly. To reverse your hair situation, you'll need to take immediate steps to help it.

The first thing to do is start taking Biotin supplements. Biotin helps with the growth of hair, skin, and nails and is cheap to buy. You can purchase it online or in any local store. (Take Super Biotin for the fastest results!)

The next thing to do is to add moisture back to your hair. Use products like Henna N Placenta or other deep conditioning masques that will help stop breakage. Keep using them until you see noticeable improvements. You might also use a home humidifier to help add moisture back to your hair, if the air around you is moisture starved.

To help with thinning hair, do regular gentle scalp massage to help stimulate your hair follicles. Massage increases circulation which in turn promotes better hair growth.

Many people have had good results using coconut oil on their scalp and hair. Apply it to your hair and lightly massage it into your scalp and leave it on overnight with your hair in a cap. The heat from your scalp will help activate its moisturizing qualities.

If you color your hair, be sure not to overlap when you apply color. Overlapping means that you apply color to hair that's previously colored. You only want to color your new growth/roots when you apply color again. Since color expands, there is no need for overlapping at all.

In a few short months, you should start seeing large improvements to the condition of your hair. If not, see your physician. You may have a vitamin deficiency that can't be diagnosed online. Best of luck!
