Bad Hair!
I went to a hairdresser I had never gone to before, and asked for a a crop I saw in a magazine. After it was finished, it looked NOTHING like it did in the magazine - it was DREADFUL! I didn't notice quite how bad it was until I got home. I asked my family what they thought of it, and they just laughed. They asked me why I got a boys cut! It was uneven, and WAY to short - it looked like a monkey had cut my hair!
I tried, clips, even gel but NOTHING could make it look good. Then I found a head band. I put it on, with my fringe back, and it looked a bit better. Sure, I looked strange, but it was better than the Monkeyboy 'do. My Dad cut the back of my hair to try and make it look more feminine. Then he said it was fine and I looked like Princess Dianna - yeah RIGHT! He was just trying to be nice.
8 months later and my hair doesn't look as bad, but it still looks pretty dreadful. I'm way too scared to get my hair cut again, but I've got badly split ends and I've still got uneven hair. What if I go to the salon and it looks really bad again. In fact, come to think of it, in all my life I've only ever had ONE decent hair cut - so what the heck? It can't look any worse than the last time, can it?

I am really sorry this happened to you sweetie. Hairdressers like that give all hairdresser's a bad rap! There are a few out there. You've just gotta get some advice from friends and family members on who to go to next time. There are some good hairdressers out there, although right now I am sure it feels like there aren't.
There are a ton of things you can do for bad hair days, short of chopping it off even more.
You might try hask placenta for your split ends. Its very cheap and works so great! I like the kind that has Olive oil in it cause it gives you a protein (placenta) plus moisturizer (Olive oil) all in one product. Apply it to clean, dry hair and leave on for as long as possible, then rinse. You'll be amazed at how good it looks!
When your hair has grown out some, you can learn how to cut your own hair by viewing some of my hair tube videos. I've been a hairdresser a long time, but had to teach myself how to cut my own hair. That's stuff they don't teach you in Cosmetology school. The reason I learned how to do this, was because of the bad haircuts I've had in the past. My hair has looked uneven and imperfect while I was learning how to cut it myself, but at least I felt better about it cause I did it. Even when it's been 'less than desirable', no one ever came up to me and bashed it. We are after all, our own worst critics!
In the meantime, keep your chin up! Your hair will grow back out in time. When I had my hair cut that short many years ago, it took it a while to grow back out but it did. You do need to keep it trimmed while it's growing out though, so it doesn't look so uneven. One side of your hair always grows faster than the other, just as one side of your hair is thicker than the other. I am sure with some advice from your friends and family, that you can find a hairdresser who will help take good care of your hair!
