Bad Bad Hair Cut

I took my daughter to a salon. It was hair designs by Jaymie in Santa Clarita California. My daughter already had a short A line type cut but it was kind of scraggly and her hair was damaged from a previous salon over processing it.

So, I took my daughter to Designs by Jaymie for a conditioning treatment and consultation for color correction. After the treatment she was combing her hair and talked about trimming up some of the scraggly hairs and giving her hair some kind of shape.

Well, needless to say my daughter no longer has an Aline her hair is more like a bob that is at about to her earlobes which does not compliment my daughters face shape what so ever. She needs a little length on the sides and needs her hair at least jawline or chin length. Not to mention her layers are uneven and way too short.

I should have thought something was not right when she was cutting her hair wet. Most hairdressers that are up to date on cutting usually dry and and straighten it so as not to cut to much off the length. It seems that some hairdressers forget that when you cut hair wet it shrinks even shorter when it dries.

Anyway, after Jaymie blew the her hair dry it looked horrendous and then she started cutting it some more. I told her she needed to stop cutting it and she wouldn't stop. I told her again in a stern voice to stop cutting her hair. I told her it looks awful and way too short and now my daughter looks like a boy. She told me that she wasn't done with the cut and if I would have let her finish it would have looked nice. I told her that I was not letting her cut anymore because then my daughter would end up with no hair at all. I told her that she knew we did not want any kind of a pixie cut and now my daughter has almost a pixie cut.

Thank God I didn't let her try and put color on it too. I wish I would have followed my gut extinct and not let her touch my daughters head. My daughter cried all the way home. She is leaving for Europe in 3 weeks and has to go with a horrendous cut and orange hair to boot.

Oh my gosh! I hate to hear bad haircut stories! It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up straight.

A simple trim is all your daughter needed. Your situation got very complicated, very quickly! But that's typically how bad haircuts start!

You were absolutely right to stop her from cutting more when you did! Women forget that they have power when they're sitting in 'the chair'. Its very relaxing to get your hair done and hairdresser's count on this. Thank God you were there to stop her! Kudos to you and hope your daughter's hair grows out fast. Try Super Biotin if you like. It really helps your hair, skin, and nails, grow like crazy!
