Baby Hair on Forehead

I'm 13 years old, and I have some baby hair's growing on both sides of my forehead and on one side worse than the other. They're thick and dark and once we tried cutting them, which was a big mistake! The thing is, is that they're too short to pin back and have never grown long enough to pin back... they only grew to be an inch long.

My mom doesn't think it would be good to get rid of them and she doesn't think that they are noticeable but I think so very much! What would be the best way to conceal/get rid of this hair? (BTW I have long wavy dark brown hair.)

There are a couple things you can do to get rid of the baby hair. You could use a depilatory cream on it, which would eliminate the hair altogether. The problem is, that it'll grow back and will need to be done each month. That could get to be a royal pain.

Using a bleaching cream is also an option. The hair would still however, be somewhat noticeable and then you'd have to bleach the roots as it grows out each month too. Another pain to take care of.

Chances are, that as you get older, it'll go away all by itself.

You can safely hide baby hair on your forehead by having bangs that cover it. That seems like the best option, with the least expense or hassle.

Continue trimming 1/4 of inch periodically
by: Anonymous

Triming once will not solve it. You said now they are 1 inch long. Trim quarter of the inch again to promote growth. Keep triming 1/4 of an inch every few months to promote hair growth. Eventually they will grow long enough to blend with your other hair.

I am 41 years old and my baby hair never went away or grew long enough to blend with the other hair. I am now trimming them 1/4 inch every now & then to make them grow long enough. If you are bold enough to shave your head try that 1-2 times. The new hair that comes out will be all darker and will grow uniformly. Or you can try a hair style with really tiny short hair (like a boy cut) and have your hair trimmed really small 1-2 times. After that let them grow and all the hair will grow uniformly
