Aspartame – The GMO Poop Neurotoxin!

Aspartame is the bad news bear of artificial sweeteners. It is a known neurotoxin created in a laboratory; made from the waste/feces of genetically engineered bacteria. It also accounts for nearly 70 percent of all complaints to the FDA. If you’re drinking sugar-free, diet, or low calorie drinks regularly, you may want to consider giving up this unhealthy habit!

Aspartame is an artificial sweetener, made from two amino acids, phenylalanine and aspartate.

Within twenty minutes at room temperature, it degrades into toxic ingredients such as:

  • Formaldehyde (embalming fluid)
  • Methanol (known to cause blindness)
  • DKP (diketopiperazine) (known to cause brain tumors)
  • Formic Acid (ant venom)

Although it is sold under the brand names Equal, Canderel, and NutraSweet, it can be found in as many as 6000 beverages and foods globally. And although diet soda’s are the primary source for consumption in the US, it can also be found in:

Any sugar-free drinks, flavored waters, cereals, chewing gum, frozen desserts, gelatins, cooking sauces, juices, chewable vitamins, sugar-free candies, shake mixes, children’s OTC medications, instant coffee’s and cocoa mixes, teas, toppings, wine coolers, yogurts, laxatives, breath mints, and prescription drugs. Aspartame is less suitable for baking than other sweeteners, because it breaks down when heated and loses most of it’s sweet taste. It is also one of the main sugar substitutes used by anyone with diabetes.

    Hidden Dangers of Aspartame

Not only is this chemical compound a neurotoxin, it is also classified as an excitotoxin; a class of chemicals (usually amino acids) that over-stimulate neuron receptors; the way that brain cells communicate with each other. When they're exposed to excitotoxins, they continue to fire impulses at such a high speed, they become exhausted and stop working properly.

Phenylalanine, one of the components, can cause birth defects in unborn children if pregnant mother’s ingest too much of it. Clinical studies show that it can severely damage the baby's brain during critical developmental stages of brain formation, which can cause seizures, mental retardation and abnormal behavior. Mother’s should be warned NOT to give this toxic substance to their children after birth either. Claims of safety are false; based on the unique relationship between the food industry and the FDA.

Aspartame decreases your body’s ability to absorb tyrptophan and reduces serotonin levels. Approximately ten percent of the sweetener is methanol, which converts into formaldehyde, which converts into formic acid. The other ninety percent is composed of phenylalanine and aspartic acid; two seemingly harmless amino acids. However when isolated, they become a nasty poison that acts on the nervous system. (neurotoxin)

It has also been implicated in the development of Gulf War syndrome since large amounts of diet soda’s were shipped to the troops of the Gulf War and were consuming the soda at high temps. At that time, Coca-Cola expressed reservations about the approval of aspartame for beverages because it is so unstable, breaks down in a can, and is especially dangerous when stored above temps of 85 degrees F. Obviously, Coca-Cola decided to use it anyway and the rest is history.

    Side Effects

If this artificial sweetener is so harmless (as the chemical food industry would have you believe), why does it have so many side effects? There are over 90 of them presently linked to this chemical.

    Under a New Name

To try and hide it from YOU, the FDA has approved the sale of aspartame as "amino sweet". Don’t be fooled. It’s the same thing!

    Slimming Down

If you’re using artificial sweetener’s to help you reduce your weight, you may want to rethink their efficacy. Instead of helping you lose weight, they actually stimulate the appetite, increase cravings for carbohydrates, and stimulate fat storage.

A recent study in Trends in Endocrinology & Metabolism suggested that diet soda drinkers suffer the same health consequences as those who drink regular sodas, such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and type II diabetes.

Artificial sweeteners also trigger enhanced activity in your brain’s pleasure centers, while giving you less overall satisfaction. In other words, you end up craving more of them because your body gets no satisfaction on a cellular level. This inadvertently contributes to overeating and weight gain but you may also end up with a sweetener addiction.

    Links to Cancer

One lifetime feeding study published in 2010 found a clear association between cancer of the livers and lungs in male mice but was carcinogenic in both male and female mice. Another study spanning 20 years found a clear association between regular consumption and non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and leukemia.

    Especially Dangerous for Women

In a 10 year study of 60,000 women, linked the artificial sweetener with a 30 percent increase in heart attack risk and a 50 percent increase in death. The findings presented by the American College of Cardiology, have been silenced by the food industry. Instead of telling us the truth, unhealthy habits were blamed for the results.

    Brain Function

Aspertame (22:10) triggers an insulin release from the pancreas and induces hyperglycemia and many other dysfunctions.

It is crystal clear that artificial sweeteners are unhealthy and aspartame is the King of GMO Crap, literally! Even sugar-packed soft drinks are better than diet drinks, and that speaks volumes. If you're not allowed to have sugar, try making iced tea or lemon water and use the herb stevia to sweeten it up instead.
