Antiaging Skin Care Formula

Immerse yourself in beauty - MakeUp.com

Antiaging skin care is an essential part of the graceful aging formula. Over time, harsh elements in the environment wear the skin which makes it dryer and more fragile. With age comes wrinkles and sagging too. Yucky, huh? Proper skin care can slow down the effects of time and the environment. To incorporate good skin care, it is important to have a thorough understanding of the layers of the skin and what job they perform. Women especially, should know about their skin's structure.

Your skin consists of three layers. The inner most layer is the subcutaneous tissue. The tissue in the subcutaneous layer contains fat cells that insulate the body. The middle layer is the dermis. The dermis contains connective tissues that help hold our skin together. The outermost layer of skin is called the epidermis. The epidermis protects the inner skin from environmental dangers and pollutants. Cells in the epidermis continuously travel from the inner most part of the epidermis to the surface, flaking off once they reach the top. This is a continuous process that never stops. However it does slow down as we age.

The cells in the epidermis become thinner over time. Less collagen is produced in your body which causes skin to lose its elasticity which causes the skin to sag and wrinkle.

The amount of sweat glands you have also decrease over time which causes dryer skin. As people age, cells in the subcutaneous layer become smaller and smaller which also contributes to sagging and wrinkling. UVA and UVB radiation from sunlight thin the epidermis even more. They also contribute to a faster breakdown of collagen in the dermis.

So, what can be done? How do we take care of our precious aging skin?

Antiaging Skin Care

1) Clean It! - Cleansing is essential to remove dirt and slough off dead skin cells. It also helps to prevent zits and acne. Cleansing, however, can dry out the skin by removing the natural oils on the skin. Moisturizers are needed to restore the moisture balance in the skin to protect it. The type of cleanser you choose depends on your skin type! Vitamin E and Vitamin A as Beta Carotene, help maintains elasticity in the skin.

2) Moisturize It! - The type of moisturizer used is important as well. A heavier moisturizer should be used at night while a thinner, lighter moisturizer is recommended for daytime use. But its not just your face that needs moisture. Your body also needs a daily moisturizer over the age of 20 too!

I’ve been using the same lotions and skin care products for over 20 years and I think my skin feels great and looks great for my age. Find out more about the effective but inexpensive products I use.

3) Avoid the Sun! - Avoid excessive exposure to the sun to prevent the harmful effects of radiation on your skin. Application of a sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30 is helpful as well. If you haven't heard about them, there are some changes coming. Learn about the new changes to sunscreen labeling.

4) Don't Smoke! - Smoking (anything) contributes to aging skin and is not recommended. It draws the face down also causes a slow down in the bodies production of collagen and elastin. Collagen is needed to firm the skin and elastin is needed to keep it flexible. The less you have, the more wrinkles you'll get!

5) Eat Healthy! - OK, OK, yeah we know! It's hard to eat healthy all the time but it really makes a big difference when it comes to your precious skin. A healthy diet with healthy foods and the right antiaging vitamins are beneficial to the elasticity of the skin. These also keep the skin healthy from the inside out! To find out more about healthy eating, follow my tips in my weight loss pages. They are packed with healthy information that can help you shed those unwanted pounds and inspire a healthy diet!

Also, you should also know some important information about the food you eat.

6) Drink Water - Drinking water is also part of antiaging skin care.
Drinking water helps you lose weight and helps your body function better anyway. It also helps keep your pores clean. Water re-hydrates your skin, which helps the skin stay moist and looking youthful!

All these tips will help STOP the biological clock and start your antiaging skin care! Follow them to ensure that your skin ages gracefully and helps you look great for a long time to come!
