Are Anti Aging Serums Hype?

Anti aging serums are HOT! Manufacturers can’t make them fast enough.

The demand is outrageously high.

They all have lightweight ingredients like Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Hyaluronic Acids, or high concentrations of Vitamin C, which are an anti aging advantage. Are they really effective or is all the buzz hype?

Some serums work like magic for your skin! Feedback for many of the major brand serums has been very positive so far. Customers say they have noticeable improvements in skin tone and skin brightness, and some notice a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. The key is to find serums that help you the most, regardless of price, and stick with those brands!

There are an exorbitant amount of these on the market to choose from however and it can get a little confusing!#&%&#*!

Anti Aging Serums - Foe or Fiend?

Serums have a dry, silky feel to them. They glide onto your skin and really help in the application of makeup. When used before makeup application, makeup just seems to ‘glide on better’ and stay in place longer. Why? Because serums penetrate deeper into your skin than typical facial lotions and they have some of the best qualities that are most sought in facial care products.

You will give your moisturizers more moisturizing power by applying a moisturizing serum first. Serums are lightweight, so they won't change your lotion's consistency. Plus, they penetrate deeply, delivering their ingredients more effectively. You can also opt to choose a skin serum with Hyaluronic Acid, which plumps up skin cells by attracting and retaining more mioisture.

However, don't be fooled into thinking that serums that contain 100% Hyaluronic Acid are better for your skin. Conversely, your skin only needs small amounts of HA to boost your skin's moisture.

When you apply any serum, wait a few minutes before you apply your daily facial lotion, and allow them to do what they do best: penetrate and moisturize your skin.

Serums vary in cost, so you'll need to shop and compare. The products that work best for your skin may not work well for someone else. That's why it's so important to know your skin type.

Idealist costs around $50 - $70, depending on where you get it. Olay Regenerist costs a lot less and works quite well. If you've ever tried Cellex C serum you know how well it works too. It will cost you around $100 but what price do you put on fighting the aging battle. The key is to find the products that work best for you and stick with them!

Most women won't find one bit of difference in the various brands, as far as noticeable results go. They really work about the same! Some of them don't work so well though for your skin type, so it's important to always read reviews about any product before you buy it, especially new products on the market.

Idealist has a light lemony scent that’s really pleasant and the product works great! However for the cost, the product that works well for most every woman is Olay Regenerist. Why? Because it delivers on it's promises and lasts a long time and is dirt cheap compared to the other brands!

In this instance, the price tag that goes along with serums is the hype.

Women in general, have the most cost. To look great, we have to buy makeup, skin care products, jewelry, accessories, clothes, shoes, fragrances, and SO many other products!!

Sometimes cheaper products don’t work as well as the higher priced products. However, the money factor is why we must pick and choose our skin care battles carefully! The key is to find products that help you the most and stick with those! Generally, even those that initially cost more, last a lot longer. You won't save money if you have to keep buying the cheaper brands over and over.

Stronger skin products that promote cell regeneration work the best, hands down, in the antiaging battle. These are products like Strivectin SD, Renova, and most alpha hydroxy lotions. Some serums contain AHA’s but they're not as potent as regular AHA’s lotions like Neutrogena Healthy Skin.

If you want to save money, use the brands that gives you more bang for your buck! For great results, use Regenerist serum, which is a great antiaging serum at just the right price!
