Anti aging serums are HOT. Manufacturers can’t make them fast enough. The demand is outrageously high.
They all have lightweight ingredients like AHA’s or Vitamin C and are an anti aging advantage. Are they really effective or is all the buzz hype?
Customer results so far are very positive for most of the major name brand serums. Products most of us are familiar with are Estee Lauder’s Idealist and Oil of Olay’s Regenerist serum. (Of course there are many others)
Feedback for these products has been very positive thus far.Customers say they have noticeable improvements in skin tone and skin brightness, and some notice a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
There are an exorbitant amount of these on the market to choose from however and it can get a little confusing!#&%*!
The key is to find serums that help you the most, regardless of price, and stick with those!
Serums vary in cost. Idealist costs around $50 - $70, depending on where you get it. Olay Regenerist costs around $18. I also tried the Cellex C Serum years ago. It will cost you around $100, again depending on where you buy it.
Serums have a dry, silky feel to them. They glide onto the skin and really help in the application of makeup. When used before makeup application, makeup just seems to ‘go on better’.
Heres the thing.
I can’t find one bit of difference in them, as far as noticeable results go. They all work about the same. (keyword here is ‘about’).
Sure Idealist does have a light lemony scent that’s really nice, but for the cost I suggest Olay Regenerist. Why? Because it works well and lasts a long time and it is dirt cheap compared to the other brands!
In this instance, the price tag that goes along with serums is the hype.
Women in general, have the most cost. To look great, we have to buy makeup, skin care products, jewelry out the ying yang, clothes, and SO many other products!!
Sure sometimes cheaper products don’t work as well as higher priced products. However, the money factor is why we must pick and choose our battles carefully! The key is to find products that help you the most and stick with those! Generally, even those that initially cost more, may last a lot longer. You won't save money if you have to keep buying the cheaper brands over and over.
I find that stronger skin products that promote cell regeneration work the best, hands down, in the antiaging battle. These are products like Strivectin SD, Renova, and most AHA’s. Serums contain AHA’s but they're not as potent as regular AHA’s lotions like Neutrogena Healthy Skin.
If you want to save money, use the brands that gives you more bang for your buck! I recommend using Olay Regenerist, which is a great antiaging serum with the right price!
