Anti Aging Skin Care Basics The wonderful thing about your skin is that it's one of only two organs in your body that has the ability to repair itself or regenerate if it isn't damaged too badly. Healthy skin starts with a low-fat diet, regular exercise, a good skin care regimen, and the necessary nutrients. Key antioxidants and proper moisturizing inside and out, are key elements of healthy skin. Good daily anti aging skin care begins with the basic skin care products. These staple products help preserve your beauty and enhance your skin! But sometimes we need to go further! There are some great quality products on the market that may initially cost a bit more, but they generally last longer too, so you will get plenty of bang for your buck! Some examples are: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Loreal Youth Code Ceremide Capsules ROC Deep Wrinkle Serum Anti aging skin care products are essential if you want to look and feel younger! | Your skin is one of the most remarkable organs of your body. It can be taut enough to use as a drum, yet supple enough to feel a loved ones touch. Not only does it protect you, it keeps everything (your organs and other stuff) in your body in place and keeps you warm. For better or worse, your skin is the first thing you see when you look in the mirror. You find out pretty quickly how your skin is faring when you see your reflection everyday. Unfortunately, your skin takes the brunt of abuse from you, your environment, and the elements. Just like your favorite pair of jeans, your skin is subjected to countless hours of stretching, rubbing, washing, and running around in the sun, wind, and rain. | | Just as your jeans fade and become worn out, so does your skin. It wrinkles, sags, thins, bags, crinkles, and fades over time. When the signs of time start showing, the demand for solutions increases. You can put the brakes on time and keep your skin looking younger at any age, if you understand how to transform it. Your skin is made up of two distinctive layers. The epidermis (outer skin) and the dermis (inner skin). The epidermis layer is a very thin, yet strong layer, being only about as thick as your nails. It is also the first to show signs of aging. The deeper dermis layer is rich in blood vessels and acts as a liaison between your skin and the stuff below the surface, such as your muscles and fat. It also contains a supportive network of collagen and elastin. Collagen acts like a protein, supporting it and keeping your skin in place. Elastin provides the elasticity that allows skin to 'bounce back'. The epidermis contains cells that are alive and cells that are dead. The old cells die off and are then replaced by new skin cells. The cells that die off form a protective coat of dead skin cells, which is the visible part of skin. As these layers of cells shed, more are replaced. For the first thirty years, this skin cycle works just fine, and your skin is able to combat the elements and regenerate itself. However, a wide variety of forces, including the environment and aging, interfere with this process. Sun exposure, the pull of gravity, medications, facial expressions, reduced collagen production, the loss of elastin, and muscle weakness cumulatively contribute to the aging process. You also lose some of the fat padding on your face which not only contributes to wrinkling but causes you to lose a bit of coloring you had when you were younger. Age spots and blotchiness are both visible signs of aging, caused from changes in the pigment of our skin due to repetitive sun exposure. In order to combat the elements and time, you need only arm yourself with the right anti aging skin care weapons. It only takes a few minutes a day to pay attention to your appearance and make some radical changes for the better. One of the simplest things you can do is to change your attitude. Smiling and feeling self confident are the best ways to present yourself to the world. Remind yourself of your positive attributes and focus less on the negative. Be aware of our negative thoughts though. These are the ones you'll want to change or work on.The right make up can also make also make a big difference in your presentation to the world. Use makeup that keep you looking youthful and healthy! Anti aging skin care is all about keeping your skin fresh, renewed, and glowing!
