Anna's Hair Salon

OMG! To the cliff note version. My sister and niece had been going to this salon for years, so I decided to try it too. The first time the owner and stylists were standing there talking about everyone that walked through the door in Spanish. Even me .... they need to understand just because we look white... some of us are half hispanic and understand all the ugly, nasty, insulting things they are saying about us. Second time I went to them they messed up my cut. I don't think there were 2 hairs on my head that were the same length. Then she did an awful highlighting job. It looked like I was wearing an orange cap on my head and then left my hair wet... I was tired (3 hours 45 min later) and wanted to go home. I told her to leave it I would blow it out myself...When I did.... the orange cap turned to a brass beret...hahahaha well this was on a Saturday and I was so pissed that I did not go back. Well I had to work on Monday and could not come into the office and be the laughing stock. Went to Sally's and they recommended a color... that color turned my new brass highlights....get this... GREEN!!!!!!!! I went back to the salon and demanded my hair be corrected for free and if they were not able to do it they needed to give me my money back. The owner fixed it and did a good job! I went back last weekend and gave them a 2nd chance to keep me as a customer and to have the highlights touched up at the root...... the first girl refused to touch my hair and the owner said that after all of the trouble that I had caused that they refused to do my hair ever again...... not good for 1 of 2 salons in the neighborhood..... word is spreading fast! ************* How rude! Sounds like a couple of horrible experiences! Word to the wise however. You can't depend on the people at Sally's to give you good suggestions. They are not licensed Cosmetologist's and know very little about color most of the time. You can however, ask hair questions on this site and get answers from a licensed Cosmetologist of almost 20 years. In those years, I specialized in color so I know a lot about it. Here's the thing though. If you ask a color question, you must give me details. Otherwise, I can't fully understand or answer your hair questions! |
