Adding Layers to Thin Hair

Dear Carolyn, I love you video's on YouTube. I have a question. I have thin long hair, and saw your video about how to create layers and frame your face. Is this possible with thin hair?

I am 40 years old and in the past I've been to several hairdressers, but am always disappointed, because when I come home I see that they always cut to much, and my hair is again shoulder length.

The last few years, I've been cutting it myself, and now it is one length and I would like to make layers and frame. Can you give me advice please?

**********

Thin hair does well with some longer layers but too many layers will make you look like someone stole your hair. Your hair may do very well with using the longer layers technique and if you frame your face, only cut from your chin down.

Use volumizing hair products and possibly try hair color glazes. (Color glazes come in a clear formula, if you don't want to add color.) These products add a 'coating' to your hair, which gives it more volume.
